How much powder do I need for washing?

Short hair: 1/4 tsp
Medium length: 1/2 tsp
Long hair: 1 tsp

Want more lather? Just add more water!

Over time, you may find that you need less powder for washing your hair. Matcha Shake is free from harsh sulfates, so it doesn't create as many bubbles as regular shampoo. However, it still cleans effectively, even without excessive lather!

Do I need to use conditioner?

Try washing with MATCHA SHAKE powder shampoo, followed by your conditioner to help hair with moisture or detangle. After using MATCHA SHAKE for a while, you'll find little or no conditioner is needed. Its gentle formula with antioxidants nourishes hair while cleaning.

Been using the matcha shampoo for more than 2 years. Last January I start to wear hijab. I’m so worry of sweaty hair since I live in hot Singapore weather, but it turns out I still feel fresh, no itch and my hair doesn’t smell of sweat at all.

Nice product but ineffective packaging and/or form

I really like the product, but I can barely use it after a month, because the powder makes lumps that clogs the holes and almost nothing comes out when I shake it.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re so sorry to hear about the issue you’ve faced. We designed the shaker packaging to make it easy for users to dispense the powder, but it does require a bit of care to avoid water getting inside.

To prevent clogging:
Avoid opening the bottle under the shower.
Always close the lid immediately after using.
If the inner tray gets blocked, remove it in a dry environment, wash and dry it thoroughly, then place it back in the bottle.

It really works!

Best Shampoo I’ve Tried

The first thing that caught my attention was the packaging. The powder shampoos come in pastel-colored bottles that are recyclable. The application process is a unique experience. You sprinkle the powder onto your palm, add a bit of water, mix, and watch it transform into a creamy lather. It’s a fun process that allows you to control the amount of product you use, reducing waste. As for the results I’ve observed, I must say that this does the job nicely. It worked up a lather just as well as any liquid shampoo, except that it doesn’t form excessive amounts of bubbles since it’s sulfate-free. It cleaned my hair thoroughly, leaving it feeling refreshed and light.
